On June 29, 2018, GCF provided a $250,000 loan to Athens Film Arts Institute, Inc. (AFAI) to assist in financing the acquisition of a commercial building located at 234 W. Hancock Avenue in downtown Athens. The building will continue to house an arthouse theater, Cine, and an upscale restaurant, The National. First American Bank & Trust was the senior lender.
