Mike Starr, 1949-2019
Our hearts are heavy and filled with grief due to the passing of Georgia Cities Foundation President Mike Starr on April 6th. Mr. Starr had served as the Foundation's President since its inception in 1999. We will miss his visionary leadership and passion for downtowns.

Helping Cities Revitalize & Enhance Their Downtown Areas

The Georgia Cities Foundation was originally established in 1999 by the Georgia Municipal Association as a 501(c)(3) organization.   In December 2010, the Foundation was designated as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) by the United States Department of the Treasury's CDFI Fund.
The Foundation will celebrate its 20-year anniversary in 2019, and we look forward to sharing our story, celebrating our past, and embracing our future during the course of the year. Please visit our website and Facebook page for periodic highlights.
