The Foundation provided a $179,000 loan in March 2003 to assist in the acquisition and renovation of a historic building in downtown Blue Ridge. The facility, known as Hampton Square, houses retail shops, offices, a restaurant, a 132-seat community theatre, and a processing facility for alpaca fibers.
