Lyn Menne with the city of Decatur is the 2024 Starr Award recipient. Lyn Menne is no stranger to GMA or the Georgia Downtown Association, as she served her downtown for more than 37 years. Lyn served as a catalyst for numerous public and private investment projects within her community. Her hard work transformed downtown Decatur from a sea of empty parking lots and downtown storefronts with limited housing to a vibrant city center. Since that remarkable transformation, her commitment to the vision of the Town Center Plan has helped ensure that downtown Decatur continues to thrive and remains a unique place to live, work, and play.
