Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Bus Tour

The Georgia Cities Foundation’s Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Bus Tour unites city officials interested in downtown revitalization with city officials in towns that have experienced successes in their downtowns.

Designed to help city officials learn from each other, the tour facilitates the one-on-one sharing of ideas about what works and what doesn't work. The intent of the tour is to inspire participants as they redevelop their downtown area.

Besides city officials, participants also include representatives from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, University of Georgia, Georgia Power and MEAG Power and other organizations that often assist cities in their redevelopment efforts. Representatives from these agencies serve as a resource team during the tour, providing presentations on and answering questions about programs and services that are available for downtown revitalization.

The tour takes place in the fall each year.
